The DOJ's position falls largely in line with the Obama administration's stance on Google v. Oracle; however in 2015, Obama's Justice Department urged the Supreme Court not to hear the controversial case. Last November, the Supreme Court finally agreed to hear the case, taking up the heated Silicon Valley legal conflict that first began when Oracle sued Google in 2010. Google had appealed a lower court’s ruling that it unlawfully used Oracle’s code in its software.

London’s Metropolitan Police said the Ecuadorian government had withdrawn asylum and invited police into the facility to arrest Assange. He has been charged with computer hacking in relation to his 2010 release of classified government cables obtained from former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning.

Blankenship was released from prison on May 10, 2017, after his conviction for willfully violating mine safety and health standards... Morrisey... released a last-minute digital ad on Tuesday hitting Blankenship over his role in the 2010 Upper Big Branch Mine disaster. Blankenship’s parole ends this week.
