Biden last week signed an executive order directing the Justice Department and other agencies to review and release certain documents related to the FBI’s investigation of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The first batch of materials is expected to be released in the coming days... “It's not time to celebrate yet,” Eagleson said. “But I think that it's an acknowledgement by the president of the United States that we have this struggle. He's personally intervening, he's making an executive order.”

Biden signed an executive order on Friday directing the Justice Department and other agencies to release declassified information about the FBI’s investigation of the attack for the next six months. The issue of the documents had been ongoing for quite some time. Families of some of the victims urged Biden not to attend memorial events that day unless he released the documents.
