McCarthy ordered an impeachment inquiry
Steven Nelson wrote in the New York Post today, “House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday ordered an impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s alleged involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals. ‘The American people deserve to know that the public offices are not for sale and that the federal government is not being used to cover up the actions of a politically associated family.’ McCarthy cited bank records that show more than $20 million flowed from China, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia and Ukraine to the Biden family and its associates. He also noted an unproven claim that Joe and Hunter Biden took $10 million in bribes from Ukrainian gas company Burisma, which paid Hunter up to $1 million per year beginning in 2014 as his dad led US policy toward Ukraine.”
Mike Davis wrote in The Federalist, “Speaker Kevin McCarthy can set the tone for the rest of the Republican Party by launching impeachment inquiries into both Joe Biden for his corruption and Merrick Garland for his weaponization of justice. Biden has compromised himself by becoming involved with his corrupt son’s selling of the family name and White House access to make millions from foreign despots. He’s shown a willingness to sell out his country to enrich his family. Every day that Congress sits idly by and does nothing about it is a disgrace.”
Christopher F. Rufo wrote yesterday in City Journal, “I will reaffirm my basic principles: I will not falsify reality. I will never address another human being as a “ze/zir” or a “they/them.” And, however the Department of Education rules, I will not back down from the mission of New College of Florida: reviving the classical liberal arts and restoring the true, the good, and the beautiful as the ultimate end of higher education.”
Sean Davis wrote in The Federalist yesterday, “In hindsight, America’s response to 9/11 crippled the country. It birthed a disastrous foreign policy ideology that is still wreaking havoc on our own country, as well as the rest of the world. It spawned a surveillance state that threatens to rip the fabric of the country in two. It led to monstrous debt growth that will destroy the country financially from within if the trends are not quickly reversed.”
